You can find us at Kh. No.385/2 in the village of Pigdamber, which is near Rau in the Indore district. Knovea Pharmaceutical is situated in a spot that’s a mix of industrial plots and open fields. It’s quite a drive from the city center, but it gives us the space we need to store everything. The building itself is fairly new but it already has that lived-in feel with stacks of pallets and empty containers near the entrance. Most of the staff comes in from Indore or the nearby villages. We spend our mornings checking the temperature in the storage rooms and making sure the labels are stuck on right. It isn’t glamorous work. We often have tea breaks under the shade of the tree outside because it gets stuffy indoors during the afternoon heat. The roads around here can be a bit rough, especially after the monsoon rains, so we have to be careful with the transport vans. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. It’s just a warehouse and a small office space where we keep our logs. We focus on the practical side of things, like making sure we don't run out of packing tape. Working in Pigdamber has its own pace, a bit slower than the city, which suits us just fine. We just try to do an honest day’s work and make sure the supplies are handled properly before they head out to the local clinics. Everything is kept as simple as possible.
