We are located on the second floor of the Tagore Centre. It’s right in the middle of Dava Bazar on Rabindranath Tagore Marg. If you know the area, you know how hectic it can get with all the medicine shops and people moving crates around. Being on the second floor helps us stay a little bit away from the street noise, but the energy of the bazaar still reaches us. Our office is number 13-14, and it’s filled with desks, computers, and a lot of files. We deal with the pharmaceutical side of things, so there’s always a lot of coordination happening. It’s not a place with fancy decorations. We have plain walls and rows of cabinets. The lift in this building is old, so many of us just take the stairs to the second floor. We get our mail at P B No Gpo 610. The staff here has been together for a long time, so we have our own way of doing things. It’s a busy environment where the phone rings a lot and there is always someone coming in with a delivery or a question. Dava Bazar is a specific kind of place, very focused on business, and we fit right in with that. We don’t really do anything for show; we just come in, do the work that needs to be done, and head home when the market starts to quiet down in the late evening.
