Dawar Pharma Store

Dawar Pharma Store is located right in Navlakha, right across from the bus stand on Nemawer Road. Being near the bus stand means we see a lot of people who are just passing through Indore. They might have a headache from the long ride or realized they forgot their regular medicine at home. The shop is small but we try to keep it organized so I can find what someone needs quickly. The heat in Indore during the summer can be something else, so I keep the fan running at full speed all day. I have been behind this counter for a long time now. My hands know exactly where the bandages and the common cough syrups are kept. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud I have to ask people to repeat themselves twice. It isn't a glamorous job, just standing here and checking prescriptions. We have some regular customers from the neighborhood who come in for their monthly supplies too. They usually stay for a minute to complain about the bus noise or the price of things these days. I just listen and nod while I pack their items in those small paper bags. It’s a busy spot, and there is always something to do, whether it’s checking expiry dates or just wiping down the glass counters. We just try to be helpful when people come in feeling a bit under the weather.
