We are situated right on Jail Road, right across from the Surya Centre. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows where that is. The building we are in is straightforward. We deal with pharmaceutical stuff, so there are always boxes being moved from one room to another. It gets a bit crowded when a new shipment arrives. The front area is mostly for receiving visitors or delivery people who have something to drop off. We have some heavy desks and a few computers that have been here for years. Jail Road stays busy from morning until late, so there is always a background hum of traffic. Our office doesn't have much in the way of style or design, just plain white walls and some fluorescent lights that flicker once in a while. There is a small area near the door where we keep an extra chair for anyone who needs to wait a minute. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the computer screen for inventory updates and delivery schedules. It’s a lot of daily coordination. The team here knows the routine well, so we don't have to talk too much about what needs to happen next. We just get on with it. Sometimes we step out to the front to get a bit of air and watch the cars go by the Surya Centre. It’s a regular office job in a regular part of town. We keep things moving and make sure the orders are processed.
