Nongchup Pukkei Langei Organic Producer Company Limited

We operate out of Kwakeithel Awang Thiyam Leikai, specifically through the space provided by The Green Foundation. Our group is made up of local folks who decided to focus on organic farming because we saw the land getting tired. It’s a bit of a process to get things running right, but we’ve been at it for a while now. Most of our members spend their mornings in the fields and then we meet up to figure out the logistics of selling what we’ve grown. It’s not a corporate office setup at all. Usually, there is some mud on the floor and a lot of talk about the rains or the price of seeds. We named ourselves Nongchup Pukkei Langei to reflect our roots here. Being an organic producer company means we have to be careful about what goes into the ground. We share tools and advice among the members. Sometimes we have too much of one crop and not enough of another, but that is just how farming goes. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Manipur, just a steady one that helps its members get a fair deal. You can find us at the Thiyam Leikai address if there is anything to discuss.
