National Computers

National Computers is our small shop located in Moolamattom, up in the Idukki district. Being in a hilly area means we get people from all the nearby villages coming in when they have trouble with their computers. We started this shop because there weren't many places around here to get a PC fixed or to buy basic accessories. The shop is small and usually has a few dismantled CPUs sitting on the counter. We spend most of our time troubleshooting software issues or replacing hardware that has burnt out due to the frequent power fluctuations we get in the hills. It is a bit of a messy place with wires and tools everywhere, but we know where everything is. We sell things like pen drives, mouse pads, and the occasional printer. We don't have a big fancy showroom. It’s just a front room with a few shelves and a workspace in the back. Customers are mostly students from the local colleges or office workers who need their laptops back in a hurry. We try to be honest about how long a repair will take, especially if we have to wait for parts to come in from the bigger cities. It is a simple life here in Moolamattom, and we are just happy to be the ones people turn to when their technology stops working. We don't do much marketing, we just rely on people telling their friends about us.
