Long Farms Locale Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Madickankal in Vandanmedu. We are right by the Vandanmedu P O in the Rajakandam area. It is a place where you can see the hills rolling away in every direction if you stand on the porch. Being a farmers producer company means we are always talking to the people who grow things nearby. The office is a simple one. It’s mostly just a place to meet and talk about the crops and the prices. Vandanmedu is famous for its spices, so the air always smells like cardamom or pepper when the wind is right. Our building is a bit tucked away behind some old trees. You might miss the turn if you aren't looking specifically for the Madickankal sign. We have a lot of dusty ledgers and some old wooden chairs that have seen better days. It’s not the kind of place with air conditioning or glass walls. We just use the natural breeze coming through the open windows. The name Long Farms was chosen because we think about the long term for the land. Rajakandam is a quiet spot, but it gets very busy during the picking season. Everyone knows each other here. We spend a lot of time drinking black tea and looking at the weather. If it rains too much, we worry about the hillsides washing out.
