We are located at Plot No. 22 & 23 in the Commissary Bazaar. If you've ever been to the bazaar, you know it is a place full of energy and people constantly moving around. Our spot is right in the middle of all that action. Yaqub Hanko is a name that has been around for a while in this neighborhood. We have two plots, which gives us a bit more room than some of our neighbors, but it still feels cramped when the inventory starts arriving. The streets outside are narrow and always crowded with carts and shoppers, so getting things in and out is always a bit of an adventure for us. We don't bother with fancy displays or any of that. People come to us because they know where we are and they know we are honest. Inside, it's a bit of a maze of shelves and boxes. We know where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to an outsider. The heat in the bazaar can be something else during the peak of summer, so we have a few old ceiling fans that clatter away all day long. We start early before the sun gets too high and stay until the bazaar starts to quiet down in the evening. It’s a busy, noisy, and practical way to make a living for a family business like ours. We just keep our heads down and work.
