Sai Sathvik Tailors

The shop, Sai Sathvik Tailors, is located at H No 6-469 in Dwaraka Nagar. It's right in the Chintal area of Quthubullapur, which is part of Rangareddy. I’ve been sitting behind a sewing machine for more years than I can count. It started as a small thing, just fixing buttons or taking in seams, but now we do full outfits. The space isn't huge, and there are always scraps of fabric and thread all over the floor, no matter how much I sweep. People bring in their fabric and we talk about how they want it to look. I try to get the fit right, but sometimes it takes a second try. That’s just how tailoring goes. My hands are usually tired by the end of the day, but seeing a finished suit or a dress ready for someone to wear makes it okay. We have a lot of locals who come back every time there is a wedding or a festival. It’s a busy neighborhood and there is always noise from the street outside, but I just focus on the needle. Moving to Rangareddy was a big step for us, and this shop in Dwaraka Nagar has become a second home. We don't have a website or anything, just the sign out front and the work we do every day.
