Bhargava Garments

Bhargava Garments is located at 7-1-3/7 in Sathi Reddy Colony, which is part of the Ferozguda area in Bowenpally. It’s a small shop that’s usually packed with rolls of fabric and ready-made clothes. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of new cloth and maybe some incense from the morning prayers. I spend most of my day behind the wooden counter, measuring things out or helping someone find the right size. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, so I’m often climbing a small ladder to grab something from the top. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but we have a sturdy ceiling fan that helps a bit. The colony is usually pretty quiet, except for when the kids come home from school. We have a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us for years. They don’t just come to buy clothes; they stay for a chat about their families or the local gossip. I try to keep things neat, but by the end of the day, there are usually threads and scraps of paper all over the floor. I sweep it up every night before closing the gate. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady and I like the people who come through the door. Every piece of clothing we sell has been checked over by me to make sure it’s okay.
