Vivien Men

If you know Begum Bazar, you know how crowded it gets with all the shops and people moving around. We are situated at 14-4-264/1 in Joshi Wadi, right across from the Seven Heven Hotel. It is a busy spot to have a shop, but we like the energy of the market. Vivien Men is where we spend our whole day. We mostly see regulars who have been coming to this part of Hyderabad for years. The shop isn't very large, so things can get a bit tight when three or four people are waiting. We have the usual chairs and some old magazines on the table for when there is a line. Being in Joshi Wadi means we hear the sounds of the street all day long—the horns, the shouting, and the tea sellers passing by. We try to keep the mirrors clean and the floor swept, though with the dust from the road, it's a constant job. Our door stays open most of the time to let some air in. People come in for a shave or a haircut and usually stay for five minutes extra just to complain about the traffic outside. It's just a simple place for men to get groomed without any fuss or complicated menus. We have been at this address for a good bit now and it feels like home. You just look for the hotel and we are right there.
