We are located right on Yapral Main Road, not too far from the J J Nagar Colony Post Office. The workshop stays pretty noisy during the day because there is always some machine running or someone hitting metal with a hammer. It’s a busy spot in Malkajigiri Mandal and the traffic outside never really stops. Inside, the floor is usually covered in some oil or metal shavings, no matter how much we sweep it up at night. We have been working from this 5-3-117/2 address for a while now, doing mostly small engineering jobs and repairs that people bring in. Sometimes a customer comes with a broken part and we have to figure out how to fix it or make a new one from scratch. It takes a lot of time and patience to get things right. My hands are almost always black from the grease, but that’s just part of the work. We keep our tools on the wall, though they don't always stay in the right place when we are in a hurry. The office part is just a small desk in the corner with a lot of papers and old ledgers piled up. It gets quite hot in the afternoons under the tin roof, so we usually take a short break for tea then. It’s just a regular place where we get the work done as it comes, trying to stay ahead of the orders on the clipboard.
