Mari Engineering Works

Over at 5-5-35/76 in Prashanthi Nagar, you’ll find Mari Engineering Works. We are right in the Ida Bala Nagar area of Kukatpally. It’s a straightforward engineering shop. We’ve got some machines, plenty of tools, and usually a bit of a mess from whatever we’re working on. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don’t have a receptionist or anything; you usually just walk in and find one of us covered in a bit of grease. We do various bits of fabrication and repair work. Sometimes a customer comes in with a broken part and asks if we can fix it, and we see what we can do. It’s not always perfect, but we try to make things solid. The neighborhood is full of small workshops like ours, so there’s always something going on. The air smells like cut metal most of the time. We aren't looking to become some huge company. We just like the work and being part of the local industrial scene here. Some days the machines act up and we have to spend hours fixing them instead of doing the actual work, but that’s just how it goes. It’s a simple life, honestly. We mostly just talk to people who come by the shop and figure out what they need for their own projects. It is a lot of grinding and welding, and at the end of the day, we just want to go home and rest before doing it all over again tomorrow.
