Vande Mataram International Primary School

Down in Gandhi Nagar Colony, specifically at 17-4-269/2, you will find Vande Mataram International Primary School. Despite the long name, we are a pretty small and simple operation. We mostly deal with the little ones, so the atmosphere is always a bit noisy and energetic. The colony is a quiet place otherwise, so the sound of children playing usually echoes quite a bit between the houses. We have a few rooms that we use for the different classes. The walls have some drawings on them, and the desks are small to fit the primary students. We don't have a lot of extra space, but we manage with what we have. Every morning starts with a lot of shuffling and bags being dropped on the floor. The teachers here are mostly local people who know the families in the colony well. We spend our time going over the basics, like reading and writing. It is a humble setup. We don't have big fancy buses; most of the kids just walk over from their homes nearby. When it rains, the street gets a bit messy, but everyone still shows up. We are just a regular primary school in a regular neighborhood. We don't try to be anything else. It is just about the daily routine and making sure the kids are safe and learning something while they are with us. It keeps us busy and the days go by fast, but that is just life here in the colony.
