Adhira Vidhyasham Primary School

You can find Adhira Vidhyasham Primary School at 136/5 in Dv Colony, right in the heart of the Sindhi Colony area of Secunderabad. It is a primary school, which means it is a pretty high-energy place from morning until the early afternoon. We have been in this building for quite a few years now. It is not a modern glass structure; it is an older building with high ceilings and heavy doors. We do not have a fancy website or a bunch of promotional videos. We just rely on the fact that we have been here a long time and the neighbors know us. The classrooms have big windows to let in the air, though they also let in the sounds of the street. You will see the teachers walking around with their registers and bags, usually looking a bit tired but always busy. We have a small courtyard where the children gather, and it gets pretty crowded during the break. We do not have a big staff of cleaners or maintenance workers, so we all chip in to keep the place tidy. Sometimes we have to move classes around if a roof leaks during a heavy Hyderabad rain, but we just get on with it. It is a very local, down-to-earth kind of school. We do not try to impress people with big words. We just focus on the kids and making sure they have their books and pencils ready for the day.
