Towj Engg Works

At Towj Engg Works, we spend most of our time at Plot No. 16 on Old Airport Road. It’s a busy spot in Balanagar and there is always noise from the traffic and our machines going at the same time. The shop is at H. No. 2-188, right in Sobhana Colony. We’ve been working with metal and parts for a long time now. It’s not a clean job, our hands are usually covered in grease or some kind of oil by noon. We fix things that break and sometimes we make new parts when someone can't find what they need in the market. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and we have to sweep it out every evening. People come by with all sorts of broken iron bits or machinery that stopped working. We just take a look and see what can be done. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t have fancy chairs for people to sit in, just the workbench and the tools we’ve gathered over the years. Some days are slower than others, but there’s always a motor to strip down or a piece of steel to cut. Being near the old airport means it stays busy around here. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes in. It’s just us doing engineering stuff the way we learned it, nothing too complicated about it. We just stay focused on the metal.
