You can find Tool Engineering Group over at 8-7-149/1 in Gowri Nagar. It is part of Old Bowenpally, which has its own kind of rhythm. The street out front is not very wide, so parking can be a bit of a headache if you are not careful. We have been in this building for a while and the sign outside is a bit faded from the sun. Inside, the rooms are a bit cramped with all the equipment and boxes we have lying around. There is a specific smell of old paper and dust that you just get used to after the first week. We have a small table in the back where we have our lunch. Usually, someone brings a tiffin and we share whatever is there. The windows look out onto the street and we watch the neighbors going about their business. It is a noisy area, especially when the trucks go by. We keep a ledger on the main desk that is filled with scribbles. The clock on the wall is five minutes fast, but we never bother to fix it. It helps us leave a little earlier, maybe. We do not have fancy chairs or anything like that. Just the basics to get the job done. It is a practical space for practical people. The door squeaks when you open it, no matter how much oil we put on the hinges. It is home.
