The Oxygen Equipment & Engineering Company Limited

Our shop is situated at C-37/38 in the Sanathnagar Industrial Estate. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by other workshops and factories, so there is always a background noise of welding and heavy engines. We deal with oxygen equipment and various engineering tasks, which involves a lot of heavy lifting and moving metal cylinders around. The floor is usually covered in scuff marks and there’s a thin layer of iron filings in the corners. It’s a practical space designed for utility rather than comfort. We have a small office section partitioned off, but mostly we are out on the floor where the real work happens. The lighting isn't great, especially on cloudy days, but we have enough lamps at the workstations to see what we are doing. Our team is a small group of people who just like to get things done without much fuss. We don't spend time on fancy presentations; we just show people what we’ve built or repaired. Lunchtime usually involves sitting on whatever crates are available and talking about the news or the heat. Sanathnagar is a busy hub, and being here keeps us close to our suppliers and other shops we work with. It is just a gritty, hard-working environment where we focus on the hardware and the tools. It’s been this way for a long time, and we don't see that changing anytime soon.
