Swastik Pan Store

You can find us at number 51, right near the Balkishan Lal Temple. We are tucked away in the middle of Begum Bazar, specifically on Jumeraat Bazar Road around the Chudi Bazaar area. It is a very old part of town and it stays busy from early morning until late at night. The store is small, but it’s been here a long time. People come in for their daily pan after lunch or dinner. We know most of the faces that walk through the door because they live or work right around the corner. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic and the shoppers, but inside we just keep things moving. We stock what people need. It’s a simple setup with a counter and some shelves. Nothing fancy at all. We spend a lot of time preparing the leaves and getting the mixtures right. The smell of the spices and the betel nut is always there. Sometimes it’s a bit cramped when a few people show up at once, but we make it work. Living and working in Begum Bazar means you see everything. We’ve watched kids grow up and start coming here themselves. It’s just a local spot for a quick break. No big signs or flashy lights, just the shop on the road. We open up early and stay till the last person heads home. The temple nearby brings in a lot of people on festival days, so those times are extra busy for us.
