Sumax Engineering Pvt Ltd is based at number 45 in Shantiniketan Colony. It’s up in Mahendra Hills, over in East Marredpally. The location is a bit quieter than the main parts of Hyderabad or Secunderabad, which is actually quite nice for getting work done. We’ve been at this address for a good stretch of time now. The office is set up in a way that’s comfortable for us. We aren't really into the whole open-plan office trend; we just have our spots and we stick to them. Most of our day is spent looking over engineering plans or dealing with the technical side of our projects. It’s a lot of focus and sometimes a lot of coffee. We don't use a lot of big words or try to sound more important than we are. We are just engineers and support staff doing our jobs. Being in Mahendra Hills means we have a bit of a climb to get here, but the air feels a bit better than it does down in the city center. We know our neighbors in the colony and it feels more like a community than a business park. We just keep our heads down and work through the tasks we have scheduled for the week. It’s a steady pace, and we like it that way. We don't feel the need to be flashy about what we do. It is just us working away.
