Striker Styles

Striker Styles is found at 5-5-7/17/1 in the Pochamma Building over in Kukatpally. We are right near Raos School, so we hear the bell ring every day and see the kids heading home in the afternoon. The building itself is an older one and our shop is just a small part of it. We have some racks of clothes that we move around to make space when we get new stock in. The address is a bit of a mouthful, so we usually just tell people we are near the school to make it easier for them to find us. Inside, there is a smell of laundry and sometimes the incense we burn in the morning. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just put our items out and hope people like the look of them. Most of our days are spent ironing things or folding them back up after someone has looked through the pile. It can be repetitive work, but we have a small radio that keeps us company. Kukatpally is a fast-growing area, and things are changing all the time, but we’ve stayed pretty much the same. We know the other shop owners in the Pochamma Building and we look out for each other. Sometimes we close early if the weather is bad or if there is a local festival going on. It’s just a normal way to run a small shop. We don't ask for much more than that.
