Steward

We are over in Narayanaguda, Hyderabad, and that is where we do all our work for Steward. Being in Narayanaguda means we are right in the middle of a lot of noise and people moving around all the time. Our office is a basic space where we keep our stuff and meet up to talk about what needs to be done for the day. There is a lot of dust that comes in from the main road because of all the cars and buses passing by, so we are always wiping down the tables. It is not the kind of place you see in a magazine, just a practical room with some chairs and a cupboard for our supplies. We spend a lot of time coordinating with different people, and sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing for hours. The flyover nearby makes a lot of sound, but after a while, you just stop noticing it. We have a small kettle in the corner to make coffee when it gets late. Some days are much busier than others, especially when there are events going on in the city. We don't really have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. People just come in, we talk about what they need, and then we get to work. It is a straightforward way of doing things, and we prefer it that way because it keeps everything simple and honest for everyone involved.
