Srinivasa Gear Wheels is tucked away on Old Airport Road, right in Shobana Colony at Plot No. 16. If you are looking for H.No. 2-187, that is us too. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the city center, though the road gets its fair share of traffic from people avoiding the main jams. The workshop floor is where most of the life happens. There’s usually a thin layer of oil on most surfaces, which is just part of the job when you deal with gears all day. We’ve been at this location for years, and the neighbors all know us by now. Sometimes the planes from the old airport make a bit of noise, but you stop noticing it after a week. It’s not a place for fancy suits or polished floors. We have a couple of old desks and some chairs that have seen better days. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but work comes first. Most mornings start with a cup of tea while we look at what needs to be finished. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. It’s more about the hands-on stuff here. People come in with broken parts or questions, and we try to give them a straight answer without any nonsense. It’s a small operation, just a few of us making sure things run right.
