Dhanalaxmi Engineering Works

Located on H. P. Road in Moosapet, our shop is number 11 - 5 - 239/3. It is a busy part of town and the traffic can be a real headache sometimes. Inside the shop, things are a bit cluttered with metal scraps and various machines. We do engineering tasks for whoever walks through the door. It’s a small team here, just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment. We started out small and stayed that way because it is easier to manage. The dust from the road gets inside quite easily so we spend a lot of time sweeping. I usually open up early in the morning before the sun gets too high. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved which can be tiring by the evening. We have some regulars who have been coming to us for years and they know how we operate. We don't use any high-tech systems to track our work, just a simple logbook on the counter. It is a practical way of doing things and it hasn't failed us yet. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, but that’s just part of living in this area. We just focus on getting the parts finished so people can get back to their own business. The H. P. Road is always buzzing with motorcycles and buses. Sometimes the noise makes it hard to hear each other inside the shop. We have to shout over the machines anyway so it doesn't matter much. We don't use any computers for our designs, just chalk and sometimes a pencil on the metal itself.
