Sri Venkat Edwards Store

Our store is tucked away in Sri Ram Nagar, right near where the Avl Andhra Jothi is in Banjara Hills. It’s a small place, but we try to keep it packed with the things people need for their daily cooking and cleaning. You might miss it if you aren't looking closely because the sign is a bit small, but the locals know where we are. I usually open up early in the morning before the city traffic gets too loud. There’s always something to restock or a shelf that needs dusting. It’s just me and a couple of helpers most days. People stop by for a chat as much as they do for shopping. We carry the usual stuff like bags of rice, pulses, and spices. The floor is a bit uneven, and the lights flicker sometimes when the power fluctuates, but it’s our little corner of the city. Banjara Hills can be a busy, expensive place, but our shop feels more like the old days. We write things down in a big ledger and keep track of who owes what for the month. It’s a bit cramped inside when more than three people are there at once, especially with the sacks of grain on the floor. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name above the door and some snacks hanging up. Most days are pretty much the same, filled with familiar faces and the sound of the traffic outside. It’s a simple life running a store, but it keeps us busy.
