Sri Sai Ram Engineering Works

You can find us at 3-76 in Bala Nagar. We are tucked away right behind the SBI Bank, just across from the lane where the fish market is. You can usually smell the market in the mornings, which is something you get used to after a few days. Sri Sai Ram Engineering Works has been in this spot for several years now. It’s a loud place with the sound of machines running and metal hitting metal. We do a lot of fabrication and repair work for the local folks and small businesses around here. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and we have to sweep it out every evening. It’s just a small team of us. We wear our old clothes because they’re going to get grease on them anyway. We don't have a big sign out front, just the address and the work we do. People find us because we’ve been here so long. Dealing with the bank traffic can be annoying when we’re trying to move heavy stuff in and out, but we manage. We aren't much for fancy talk or business meetings. We just look at the job, figure out how to do it, and get to work. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to start over, but that’s how you learn. We use old machines that still work better than the new ones sometimes. It’s a decent living and we like being part of the Bala Nagar community.
