Sree Tailors Dzyners

We are over here at Kutbiguda, right across from the mosque. Sree Tailors Dzyners is basically a small place where we handle clothes all day. It’s house number 4-5-703 and it’s been where we do our work for a good while now. Hyderabad gets pretty busy around this part, especially on Fridays because of the masid right there. My sewing machine is usually running from morning until the sun goes down. People just walk in with fabric they bought somewhere else and ask if I can fix a hem or make something new. I don’t have a big team or anything, just me and a bit of help sometimes. The street outside is noisy but it’s home. The walls inside the shop are covered with scraps of thread and half-finished projects. I try to keep things organized but when there are too many orders, it gets a bit messy. It’s not a fancy boutique like you see in the malls. We just have a counter, some racks, and the machines. Sometimes neighbors stop by just to chat for a minute while I’m working. That’s how it is in this area of Hyderabad 500027. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the shop stays mostly the same. I just keep stitching and making sure the measurements are right for whoever comes through the door. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the steps. It's a simple life.
