Sowjanya Rice Store

I’ve been running Sowjanya Rice Store here on Kavadiguda Main Road for a good while now. We are located right at 1-3-3, specifically in Shop Number 1 and 2. If you are coming down the road, you’ll see us right beside Kalpana. It’s a busy spot in Hyderabad and we just keep things simple. People come in for their daily rice needs and we try to keep the bags stacked and ready. The shop isn't fancy or anything like that. It’s just a regular place where we spend most of our day. Most of our neighbors know where we are because we've stayed in this same spot for years. Dealing with rice means a lot of heavy lifting and keeping the floor clean from grain dust, which is a never-ending job. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, especially being on the main road, but you get used to it after a bit. We open up early and stay until the evening. It’s a straightforward business. We don't have a big website or anything, just the physical shop where you can see what you're getting. If you are around the 500048 area, you probably passed by us already. We handle different types of rice and just try to make sure people get what they need for their kitchens without too much fuss. It's just me and a couple of helpers usually. We keep the registers manually and sometimes the counting takes a bit longer when it's crowded. We're just a small part of this neighborhood.
