Slate The Play School & Day Care

Slate The Play School & Day Care is located over at 5-9-47/5, right beside Kirloskar Hospital on Hill Fort Street. This area of Basheerbagh is usually quite busy because of the hospital and all the shops nearby. We handle both the play school in the mornings and the day care for parents who work late. The building is easy to spot once you get to Hill Fort Street. Inside, we have a few rooms filled with small chairs, toys, and sleeping mats for nap time. It is not a very large place, but we make the most of the space we have. Every morning starts with the same routine of greeting the kids and getting them settled. It’s often loud and a bit chaotic, but that is just the way it goes with little children. We spend a lot of time cleaning up juice spills and putting toys back in their boxes. The staff here are just regular people who have been doing this for years. We don’t have any fancy technology or expensive play equipment. We just use what works. Parents drop their kids off and we look after them until they get back. It is a very straightforward arrangement. The hospital next door is a good landmark for people who haven't visited us before. We have been in Basheerbagh for a while and we know the street sounds and the rhythm of the neighborhood well.
