Siraj Sewing Spot Enterprises

Our shop, Siraj Sewing Spot Enterprises, is at D. No 19-3-262/50/6/80 in Jahanuma, Bahadurpura. It’s a bit of a long address to write down, but once you’re in the Jahanuma area, it isn’t too hard to find us. We have our sewing machines set up and there is usually a lot of thread and fabric scraps lying around on the floor. We do all sorts of stitching and repairs. People bring in clothes that don’t fit or things that need a bit of fixing. It's a small place, so it can get a bit cramped when there are a few customers inside and we have rolls of cloth taking up space. I’ve been working with needles and thread for a long time now. It’s what I know. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to handle the machines properly. Bahadurpura is a busy place and there’s always noise from the street coming through the door. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend an hour fixing a bobbin or cleaning out the lint. We just take it one job at a time. It isn't a high-fashion boutique or anything, just a spot where you get your sewing done. We try to keep things organized but with so much fabric coming in, it’s a bit of a struggle. We’re just local people doing a job for the community. Some days we have too much work and other days it is quiet.
