Shubham Academy

Our place is in Himayat Nagar in Hyderabad. We’re at Door No 3-6-715 on Street No 11. It’s a bit of a narrow lane, but everyone knows the area because of the Mahesh Hospital and Kubera Towers nearby. We are right opposite the lane that leads to the towers. It’s a lively neighborhood, always something happening on the street. Our academy isn't very large. We have a couple of rooms where the teaching happens and a small area near the entrance for people to wait. The walls are painted a simple cream color and we have some old fans that make a bit of noise, but they keep the place cool. We usually get here early to sweep the floors and set up the chairs before the first group arrives. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don't have an automated system for everything; we still use a lot of paper and pens. You’ll often find us sitting and talking to students about their problems after the classes are over. It gets pretty loud when the schools nearby let out, but we’re used to it. The food stalls around here are great, so we usually grab something from the street for lunch. It’s a basic, functional space for learning. We don’t try to make it look like something it isn’t. We just do our work and go home.
