Memory Maths Academy

Memory Maths Academy is located over in Uppal, specifically in the Sai Raghavendra Residency. We are on the 2nd floor in Flat No. 203. If you’ve ever walked around Uppal, you know it’s a lively neighborhood with a lot of families. Our space is basically a converted flat that we use for all our teaching and admin work. There are tables and chairs set up where the students sit, and whiteboards on the walls for the math problems. It’s not a giant school or anything, just a local academy where we focus on numbers and learning. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood through the windows, which kind of keeps things grounded. We usually start our day by setting out the materials for whoever is coming in that afternoon. The 2nd floor is a nice height because it’s not too many stairs but high enough to be away from the street dust. We spend a lot of time grading papers or planning how to explain a difficult concept better. There’s a certain rhythm to the day here, especially when the bells go off or parents come by to pick up their kids. We’ve got a small area for water and snacks, which is where we take our breaks. It’s a simple, functional place where we just focus on the job at hand. Being in Uppal makes it convenient for a lot of people around here.
