Shekenah Academy

Shekenah Academy is tucked away in Picket, specifically Plot No. 28 in Subba Rao Colony. We are quite close to the Akshitha Hotel, which helps people find us in the Secunderabad area. This place is usually full of noise, which I guess is expected when you have students around all day. It is not a massive campus with stadiums or anything. It is a modest building where we try to teach the basics and help the kids get through their lessons. We spend a lot of time preparing materials and making sure the classrooms are ready. The benches are a bit old, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like a real place of learning. My staff and I are always on our feet, moving from one room to another or talking to parents who drop by. We have had some rainy days where the roof leaked a little, but we just put out a bucket and kept going. It is a busy environment, and sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when everyone is trying to leave at the same time in the afternoon. We focus on the daily stuff like homework, attendance, and making sure the kids stay focused. We have seen many groups of students pass through these doors over the years. It is rewarding in a quiet way to see them grow up. We are not trying to be the most famous school, just a solid place in the colony where kids can come to study.
