Down at 36/A, Phase-I in the Ida area of Jeedimetla, you will find Shri Lakshmi Engineering Industries Limited. It is a pretty standard industrial setup we have here. The Jeedimetla area is always full of trucks and people moving things back and forth, and we are right in the middle of it. Our workshop isn't anything special to look at, but it has everything we need to handle the engineering tasks that come our way. Sometimes the power flickers, or the machines need a bit of extra attention, but we just deal with it as it happens. We have a small team and everyone knows their job. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just keep our heads down and work. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or oil, which is pretty normal for an engineering place. Some of us have been working here for years and we know the quirks of every machine we own. It can get quite loud when everything is running at once, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. It isn't a glamorous life, but it’s what we do. The 36/A plot has been our base for a long time and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Despite the changes, we just keep doing the same steady work we've always done.
