Shoputer

You can find us on Street No. 8 in Ramanthapur. We are pretty close to Mahatma High School, so you’ll hear the school bell and the kids playing during their recess. Shoputer is a small operation. We focus on computers and various gadgets. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things carefully to make sure there’s enough room for people to walk around. It’s mostly shelves filled with parts, monitors, and various cables. We spend most of the day fixing things or looking up parts for customers. It gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, so we’re always wiping down the glass counters. There’s a tea stall just a few doors down that we visit at least twice a day. The people around Ramanthapur are mostly families and students, so we see a lot of the same faces. We don't do much advertising; people just seem to know we’re here by word of mouth. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a delivery truck, but that’s just how it is on Street No. 8. We have an old computer in the corner that we use for bookkeeping, and it’s a bit slow, but it gets the job done eventually. It’s a simple life here, just keeping the tech running for the neighborhood. We close up when the sun goes down and the street gets quiet. During the monsoon, we have to keep an eye on the roof for leaks, but it’s mostly fine.
