Our place, Satyam Computer Services, is located at 12-2-416/A/18 LIC in Jeevan Nagar Colony. We’re in Hyderabad, zip code 500028. The area is pretty lived-in and has a nice feel to it. It’s not one of those shiny new tech parks you see on the news. We’re just in a regular building among other houses and small shops. Most days start with us opening the shutters and letting some air in. We deal with computers all day long. Sometimes people bring in machines that are so old we aren't sure they'll ever turn on again. Other times it's just software issues that take a few hours to untangle. We don't have a big fancy philosophy about it. We just look at the screen, figure out what's broken, and try to fix it. The office has that smell of warm electronics and old paper. We have a few chairs for people to wait in, but most people just drop their stuff off and come back later. We try to keep things simple. There’s no corporate talk here, just plain English about what’s wrong with your PC. We take a lunch break when we get hungry and usually someone goes out to grab samosas for the group in the afternoon. It’s a small operation, and we like that we know most of the people who walk through the door. It’s just how we do things here every day.
