Rastvec Arts

Rastvec Arts is located at House No-11-8-151 in Kranti Nagar, which is part of the Saroor Nagar area. We run the whole thing out of a house, so it doesn't feel like a cold office at all. There are art supplies in almost every corner and sometimes it’s hard to find a place to sit down without bumping into a frame or a jar of brushes. We spend our days working on different projects and the house is always smelling like paint or wood glue. Kranti Nagar is a residential spot so it stays fairly calm compared to the main roads. We like the quiet because it helps when you’re trying to focus on something detailed. Our neighbors often see us moving materials in and out or drying things in the yard when the weather is nice. It’s a very hands-on way to work and there’s no big boss in a suit telling people what to do. We just look at what needs to be finished and we start working on it until it’s done. The floors are usually covered in scraps and the kitchen table is more of a workbench than a place to eat. It’s a bit messy and disorganized sometimes but that’s just how we work here. We aren't a big factory, just a few people making things with our hands in a regular house. Every piece takes time and we don't like to rush things just to get them out the door.
