If you head over to Jeedimetla and find the Nitco Tiles place, you’ll find us inside at Plot 85. It’s Phase 1, so things are pretty packed in with other workshops and factories. At Ikon Rubber, we deal with a lot of heavy machinery and that distinct smell of raw rubber that never really goes away. It gets quite warm on the floor when the presses are running, but that’s just how it is in this line of work. We aren't a big corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s mostly concrete floors, stacks of materials, and people who know how to handle the molds. We have been operating out of this spot for a good bit of time. Most of the guys here live nearby or commute from the city, and we all know the shortcut through the industrial estate to avoid the main road traffic. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a bit of a hard time backing in because of how tight the space is inside the Nitco compound, but we manage. We make different types of rubber parts depending on what is needed that week. It’s honest work that leaves your hands a bit dirty by the end of the shift. We don't spend much time on fancy meetings; we just look at the orders and get to work making sure the dimensions are right for whatever we are producing that day.
