Jay Robotix is out in Patancheru, specifically at D-12/1 in Phase V. It’s a bit of a trek from the main part of Hyderabad, and the roads in the Medak district can be quite bumpy. Our workspace is a mix of high-tech gadgets and very basic workshop tools. You’ll see circuit boards lying next to heavy-duty wrenches. We spend a lot of time troubleshooting things that don't want to work. It’s not like those movies where robots just walk around perfectly. In reality, it’s a lot of wires, soldering irons, and people staring at screens for hours trying to find a mistake in the code. The building itself is pretty standard for an industrial estate, nothing fancy to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s usually a bit of a mess with prototypes in various stages of being built or taken apart. We have a small area where we drink way too much tea and talk about how to fix the latest mechanical hitch. It’s a quiet team for the most part, everyone focused on their own bench. We don’t have a sales team in suits. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in t-shirts and jeans, likely with some grease on our hands or dust on our shoes. We just enjoy building things and seeing if we can make them move the way they’re supposed to. It’s a slow process, but we like it.
