Priyanka Rubbers is located at No. 19-1-915/4/5, which is right opposite the Dargah Shamshanghat in Puranapul, Bahadurpura. It is an old part of the city, and our building fits right in. We work with rubber, so the smell is pretty strong when you first walk in, but we don’t even notice it anymore. The shop is full of black sheets, tubes, and molded parts stacked in piles. It is a heavy kind of work, and we usually go home with tired arms and dirty clothes. The Dargah across the way is a good landmark, so people don’t usually have trouble finding us. We have some heavy machinery that makes a lot of noise, and the floor is made of old concrete that has seen better days. There is a small desk where we keep the ledger and a pen that barely works. We don’t bother with decorations because this is a place for hard work, not for looking pretty. Sometimes the street outside gets blocked with traffic, especially near the bridge, but we just stay inside and keep pressing and cutting. We have been here in Bahadurpura for a long time, and we know most of the other shop owners around here. It is just a straightforward place where we make rubber goods and try to keep the machines running without too many breaks. We just focus on the daily tasks and getting the orders ready.
