Preetham Ice Industries

At Preetham Ice Industries, the day starts early before the sun is even up properly. Our place is over at Sy No 614 615 in Seetharampuram, which is part of Pedda Amberpet. It is a big shed where we make ice blocks. The main thing we do is freeze water into those long, heavy blocks that people use for keeping fish cold or for big events. The machines make a lot of humming noise all day and night. It gets very cold inside the freezing tanks, even when it is boiling hot outside in Hayathnagar. You can see the mist coming off the water when we pull the cans out. We handle the heavy lifting ourselves. Moving those blocks isn't easy because they are slippery and take two people sometimes to slide them onto the trucks. Our address is H No 6-1/1, right there in the Rangareddy district. Most people around here just know us as the ice factory near the village. We don't have a big marketing team or anything. It’s just us and the freezing equipment. The floors are always a bit wet, so you have to watch your step when you come inside the gate. We keep the trucks moving out to the markets. If the power goes out, it’s a big problem, so we are always checking the lines. It is just a regular local business doing one specific thing every single day.
