Prateek Apparels Pvt Ltd is over at No.1-7-178 in Paradise Mall on M G Road in Secunderabad. Being in a mall is a bit different from the street shops in the bazaar. It’s a bit quieter because the walls are thicker, but it’s still Hyderabad, so you can always hear the traffic on M G Road. We are on the 500003 side of things. The shop itself is a decent size. We have racks for the clothes and a small area in the back where we keep the extra stock in cardboard boxes. It’s not a super fancy boutique with designer furniture. We just have the standard metal racks and some basic lighting. The mall has its own crowd, people who are just walking around to get out of the heat. We spend a lot of time hanging things back up and making sure the sizes are in the right order. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we don't mind it. Sometimes the mall elevator breaks down, so we have to carry boxes up the stairs, which is a bit of a workout. We don’t really do any big promotions. We just stay open during mall hours and talk to whoever walks in. It’s a steady kind of place. We’ve got a small desk where we keep our bills and a calculator. It’s just a workplace for us, and we try to keep it simple.
