Pooja Rice Depot

Pooja Rice Depot is right here in Habsiguda on Street No.8. Our door number is 6-140 and we are quite close to the ISI building. This is a local spot. People come in to buy their monthly supply of rice. We have different sacks piled up. It is not a supermarket. It is just a depot. You walk in, tell us what you need, and we weigh it out or give you a pre-packed bag. We have been in this neighborhood for a long time. Some of the kids who used to come with their parents are now coming in as adults. It makes us feel old but it is nice. The shop is simple. We have a wooden counter and some scales. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the sun hits the front. We keep things tidy but there is always a bit of rice on the floor. That is just how it is. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and close them at night. Most people know us by name. We talk about the weather or the local news while we work. It is a steady life. We handle a few different varieties depending on what is in season. It is just us doing what we know in our small corner of the city. We hope to stay here for a while.
