Polaris

Our spot is located right behind the Peacock Hotel in the Yusufguda Basti area of Hyderabad. We are actually inside the Anupama Boys Hostel building. It’s a bit of a unique setup, but it works for us. The area is always full of energy because of all the students and young workers living nearby. You can always find something to eat or a quick tea nearby, which is a plus. Our room is tucked away in the back, so it stays relatively quiet compared to the main road. We have a few tables pushed together and some chairs we’ve gathered over time. It isn't a place with air conditioning or plush carpets. We just have some fans spinning and the windows open most of the time. The hostel staff is friendly, and we’ve become part of the daily rhythm of the building. You see people coming and going at all hours. It feels very much like being in the heart of the city. We do our daily work here, mostly focusing on the paperwork and the phone calls that come in. Sometimes we have to move boxes around to make space for someone to sit. It’s a bit cramped, but we are used to it. The Peacock Hotel is the best landmark to give people because otherwise, the lanes in the Basti can be a real maze. We’ve been here long enough to call it home. It's a good spot.
