Our place is at Mahendrahills, on the first floor of Plot Number 86 in Ravi Housing Colony. It is a nice enough neighborhood, mostly quiet compared to the main roads near the city center. Parousia Consulting is where we spend our days. We do software and consulting, which means a lot of hours staring at monitors and talking through various problems. The office has a few windows that look out over the trees in the colony, which is a nice change from the usual city views of concrete. We have a few old desks and some chairs that have definitely seen better days. The carpet is a bit worn in the spots where we walk the most. We are not much for fancy meetings or long presentations. Usually, we just pull up a chair next to whoever is working on a project and talk it through. Sometimes the power goes out unexpectedly and we just sit and wait for the generator to kick in. It gives us a chance to stretch our legs and talk about something other than work. Mahendrahills is a bit of a climb, but the air feels a little fresher up here. We have got a small fridge that is usually full of water bottles and someone’s forgotten lunch from three days ago. It is a small operation, just a few of us trying to do good work. We do not use big words to describe what we do. We just build software and help people out.
