Down in S. J. Colony, you’ll find our workshop at 9-4-86/195. It’s an engineering shop, so it’s usually got that smell of oil and cut metal hanging in the air. We aren't sitting in some high-rise office building. Most of our time is spent on the floor looking at parts or trying to get a machine to behave. We’ve got a small team, and we’ve all got grease under our fingernails most days. It’s honest work. The colony is a mix of houses and small businesses, so we try to keep the noise down when we can, though that’s hard with what we do. We started P N U Engineering because we like building things and fixing problems that other people find too annoying. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you. Usually, you just walk in and find whoever isn't busy at the moment. We deal with blueprints that get coffee stains on them and tools that have been used for a decade. It’s a bit messy, but we know exactly where everything is located. When a job comes in, we just get to it. There aren't any long meetings or PowerPoint slides here. We just look at the metal, see what needs to be done, and start the machines. It’s how we’ve always operated in this little corner of the world. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
