Our lab is located at 2-108/1 on Fish Bldg Road. It’s inside the Balaji Residency area in Mallika Arjun Nagar, over in Bodu Uppal. The name of the road always makes people laugh when they first hear it. We do technical work here, so there are a lot of glass tubes and machines that hum all day long. It isn't a very large place, but we make the most of the space we have. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples to test. We wear white coats mostly to keep our clothes clean, not to look important. The neighborhood is a mix of houses and small businesses. We’ve been here for a few years now. Most of the staff live nearby, so they walk or take the bus to work. We don't have a fancy lobby with a receptionist. Usually, if someone knocks, one of us just stops what we’re doing to see who it is. We spend a lot of time looking at data and writing things down in notebooks. It’s quiet work for the most part. We don't do much in the way of sales pitches or marketing. People come to us because they need specific things tested or made. We just try to get the numbers right and stay out of trouble. It’s a steady job and we take it seriously every single day we are here.
