Our shop is up on the second floor of Jagdish Market. If you know Abids, you know how busy it gets around here. Chirag Ali Lane is usually packed with bikes and people moving around all day. We have been in this spot for a long time now. The office isn't very big, and we have boxes stacked up in the corners because there is never enough space for everything we need to keep. Sometimes the light in the hallway is a bit dim, but once you get inside our unit, it is bright enough to see what you are doing. Most people who come to see us are looking for specific things they can't find downstairs. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just looking through old catalogs to find part numbers for things. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fan running at full speed. The tea man comes around twice a day, and that is usually when we take a small break from the paperwork. Dealing with the crowd in the shopping centre can be a bit much sometimes, but we are used to the noise by now. We usually open up around ten in the morning, after the worst of the traffic has passed through the main gates. It is just a regular workplace where we try to get things sorted out for everyone who walks through the door.
