Ocimum Biosolutions

We are tucked away in Flat 204 of the Manjari Apartments. It is a bit of a quiet building in Somajiguda, which is nice because Hyderabad can get pretty loud sometimes. Being on the second floor means we get a bit of a breeze if we leave the windows open. Ocimum Biosolutions has been running from this apartment for some time. It doesn't look like a big corporate office from the outside, which we actually prefer. Most of the time it is just a few of us sitting around desks. We do bio-related work, mostly technical things that involve a lot of data and looking at screens for too long. If you come by, you might have to park a bit further down the street because Somajiguda is always crowded with cars. We usually have tea together in the afternoon when things slow down a bit. The apartment layout is a little cramped once you get all the equipment in, but we make it work. It feels more like a home than a workplace sometimes. People in the other flats know us as the quiet group on the second floor. We don't do big meetings or have a receptionist. If the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door gets it. It is a simple setup for the kind of work we do here. We just try to get the tasks finished before the sun goes down.
