No Where

Working out of the Railway Quarters in Mettuguda gives No Where a very specific feel. We are at Qrts No 1202 16, and you can always hear the trains in the distance. It’s a sound you eventually stop noticing after a few weeks. The buildings here are old and have a lot of character. We have some cracks in the plaster and the windows rattle when a heavy goods train goes by. It’s a very grounded place to be. We aren't some big firm with a fancy address. We are just part of the local railway community in Secunderabad. Our daily routine is pretty basic. We get in, check the messages, and start working through our piles of paper. There’s a small garden patch outside that we try to keep alive, but the sun is pretty harsh. We don't have a big budget for decor, so we just have some old calendars and photos of the area on the walls. It’s a place where we feel comfortable. Most of the people who come by are friends or people from the neighborhood. We don't use any fancy language or try to impress anyone. We just tell it like it is. If we can help, we do. If we can't, we say so. It’s a practical life here in Mettuguda 17, and we wouldn't change it for a modern office. It works for us.
